The Creator uses all kinds of things to shake us up and make us wonder about how things work in the world. The weather forecast (on Ynet in Hebrew - nothing in English for now) for the next few days gave me goosebumps just thinking about it even though I'm from Montreal originally.
Temperatures will drop. Heavy torrential rains from tomorrow (Wednesday) and right up till Sunday! And on Sunday it will get even colder and on Monday even stormier. What else can we look forward to in this special mission? Hail, storms, floods, and lots of snow - you get the picture.
But what you don't get is that this is the worst possible thing you can do to Israelis. We're used to wars, everyday survival and living on the edge - but freezing cold weather and storms? That's harsh. We're just not outfitted for this type of weather.
Here in Israel we think we're the toughest of the toughest and know everything but wait till you see what a bunch of wimps we'll see here within a matter of days. We think we can outsmart nature but nature will win each and every time.
