Time to stop trashing Madonna's Kabbalah
Now is probably a really good time to stop trashing the mineral water/red string (whoops! I just did it again) version of Kabbalah. These high-profile celebs - Madonna, Demi and Ashton are doing an amazing job of preparing the world for the real thing.
It looks like they're getting a bit of light on the path they are on - I can't wait for them to discover how they can get the really serious filling they've been waiting for along with everyone else.
Oh and I almost forgot Britney rediscovering Kabbalah over the weekend. What a crazy year this has been for Britney. I hope she discovers the meaning of her life soon.

The picture you posted of Ashton in all white reminds me of Madonna and her husband coming out of the Kabbalah Center wearing all white. I don't understand this modern requirement, maybe it has been around longer and I just don't know. Also I often wonder when people get attracted to kabbalah if it is for all the wrong reasons. Like give me answers to how everything works and that's it type of approach. As it was said people didn't learn such things until they were 40. I would have to say in some areas that should be still true if not to be learned at all. I would hope someone has stressed to them to learn the Torah fully and if they are to convert to do it the right way or should I say with a right reeb.
Thanks for listening.
Shalom

Why shouldn't we have answers to how everything works Jonathan? They are here and available for us ... we are the first generation that is supposed to benefit from them.
In our generation you don't need to be 40 or know the Torah inside out to begin studying Kabbalah - all the explanations about that are on the new www.kabbalah.info
Welcome!

Why don't you all stop attacking Kabbalah Centre using celebs like Madonna, Britney Spears, Demi Moore and so on?
Have you ever READ a book of Yehuda, Michael, Karen, Rav Philip Berg?
Did you have experienced in first person why red string isn't real kabbalah or are you just following like sheeps behind what Rav Laitman said?
Perhaps Rav Laitman knows what is talking about cos he may have experienced personally, but you?

If we would judge the teacher for its students, it's not that Bnei Baruch has such smart and enlightned ones...not worse not better than Madonna and Britney, maybe just not so popular.
I'm currently enrolled into Fundamentals Course of Bnei Baruch and I follow Kabbalah lessons with Tony and Michael, and I, as a student, never had the pretension to say what's real and what's not about the teachings I learn. Cos I'm too busy to experience them instead of doing mental suppositions/judgments according to what others said or done.

It seems to me that people waste too much time on this. I can tell you first hand that Berg's Kabbalah serves an important purpose. When we have a point in the heart or we are looking for something we may find Berg first because he is everywhere. I found it first but I felt uneasy about things very quickly and continued my search. I then found BB and have been there ever since. Some people are not ready for the intense study that comes with Authentic Kabbalah. Many people who are ready may come to study because they saw celebs and the K Center. I did not study there long so I am not sure of everything they study but it bothers me when we judge the STUDENTS. Should we comment on or judge Madonna because she is looking for something or she is trying to find a better way? Do we know what she is thinking? Isn't this the problem with the world that we spend too much time judging and disecting the lives of others but not ourselves? Can we not just say, " I study Authentic Kabbalah and I pray that anyone with a point in the heart sees past people who take advantage and they do not choose the easiest path"
Don't misunderstand I do know there is a big difference from Authentic to commercial Kabbalah I am just saying that (in my opinion) we need to get over judging anyone or taking personally what they do. Until the world gets beyong that there is no hope, isnt that what this is all about?

Nicely put Lori - I put Madonna on here for pretty technical (keyword) reasons - I'm sure you can understand why.
I don't judge her - honestly - I'm waiting for her with open arms and have even Fedex'd some books to her agent in London.

Kabalah is a tradition only for a select group of people who have taken the time to extensively prepare themselves by covering a basic amount of Torah material before begginning to delve deeply into any form of Kabalah. This means that a person needs to know all of the five books, all of Rashi, went through Shas atleast once, and has done mussar for atleast five years. Covering this amount of knowledge should take someone who also works up to 20 years to complete, a Yeshiva student 8 to 10. For anyone else to even begin to think that they are even learning kabbalah for what it really is and think to begin they understand it somewhat is absolutley foolish. AS well, there are many documented cases that even after 10 years of preparation began to delve the depths of kabbalah and ended up in the insane asylum. Good Luck. Search With Truth and Honesty. Be true to yourself, Hashem and keep it Real.

Kefir.

Kfir -
I am a woman and based on your comment here - I can tell you for a fact that I advance more in a hour than you do in ten years. And I barely study at all.
It is the great Kabbalists that set those guidelines for souls that inhabited the earth thousands of years ago. They set different guidelines from 1995 but you have your head so deep in the old stuff that you probably missed what they wrote in the last 100 years.
You are going to end up in a nut house somewhere when you realize that all your hours and years of studying have not advanced you at all - they have only increased your will to receive but you don't actually have the method of reception.
Wake up dude!!
