The Jews' Historical Blindness

As per usual I would like to comment respectfully on Rabbi Marc Gellman's Historical Blindness in Newsweek.  The Historical Blindness you speak of can mainly be attributed to us Jews who have always had all the knowledge in our hands, but did not always have the brains to use it. 

Rav Laitman says that humanity has been ready to use the wisdom of kabbalah since the 19th century - but nobody paid attention and we all know what the outcome was - two horrendous world wars.  He also said recently that in those days men who went out to fight got hurt etc., it was an eye for an eye situation, and that was the end of it. Nowadays - we are all suffering the consequences of our escalating egos - not just the people who actually go out to battle.  We all live with the threat of terror and nuclear arms that can destroy any of us at any time.

Rabbi Gellman - as a regular person - I feel the same way you do - let's get out there and conquer people who threaten our freedom and want to do us harm.

But as someone who studies kabbalah and is aware of all the forces operating on us at the moment - I know that these major distractions our generation is experiencing aren't about to slow down anytime soon - in fact they are escalating on a daily basis and you know that.

You say, "I believe that promise of freedom is still God's will for all people in all times" - you're right!  But not the freedom you're thinking of - the Exodus written about in the Bible is talking about an Exodus from our ego!  From our will to receive for ourselves.  To transform our ego into a will of bestowal - that is what crossing into the land of Israel is all about.  The fact that we were wandering around in the desert back then isn't the issue - the issue is to use everything we have now to advance to where God really wants us to be - like Him!  Equivalence of form with our Maker. 

You state that the "liberation of oppressed people" is a spiritual goal that can save the world - and I'm telling you that the only spiritual goal that can change the world is the "liberation from the human ego" that only wants to receive for itself, that is the only thing not in harmony with nature and the cause of all disasters in our world. 

Here's praying that religious leaders like yourself wake up to this reality in  2006. No need to walk around in the dark anymore in this day and age.  Time to step into the light.  I really recommend watching this short movie, Freedom of Will explaining humanity's quest for freedom and the most efficient method for attaining it.

Holocaust Could Have Been Prevented

Even more upsetting than the latest remarks by Iranian President claiming that the Holocaust is a 'myth', is the fact that the Holocaust could have been prevented altogether.

Laitman doesn't like to speak about this issue a lot because he knows how horrible it is to hear - but if Europe's Jewish community had embraced Ba'al HaSulam, the last greatest Kabbalist of our time (1885-1954), the last link, the last 'special soul' to grace the earth, who actually embodied that same special soul over and over again in the form of Abraham, Moses, etc., who finally returned to put all the pieces together for us - the last generation.

Question: In other words, we could have passed through the period of The Second World War much easier?

Indeed. We could have not experience the Second World War at all! Kabbalists, and Baal HaSulam in particular, were all were warning us that terrible events would come because we do not want to unite ourselves, we do not want to live according to the principle "everyone for everybody." 

Question: Are you saying that there is another world where neither Holocaust nor all these sufferings have ever existed, and we could have passed through it, but had missed this opportunity?

If back then we could have come, by the virtue of the Light shining on us a bit more intensively, to the present realization of evil which had been accumulated during the past century, we would have then felt what terrible darkness we were in. Instead of getting innumerable blows, feeling this darkness and suffering, I would see better life, and then I would understand what terrible darkness I was in, comparing it with this wonderful life. It is movement that either perceives Light or perceives darkness.

The message of this post is that we can choose - we have the proper guidance to make the right choice this time around.  A few very important scientists and important organizations are getting the message and will hopefully help get it out to the entire world.

Why They Love To Hate Israel

I hate to say it but the Iranian president has a point - if Israel doesn't start fulfilling its true role in world affairs (sharing Kabbalah with the entire world) we will no longer be able to stay here. We were only put here for that purpose and our spiritual progress is directly tied to our right to be here.  So Gissin has it all wrong - being here first is not a good enough reason for allowing us to stay here:

Raanan Gissin, a spokesman for Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon, said in Tel Aviv: "Just to remind Mr. Ahmadinejad, we've been here long before his ancestors were here. Therefore, we have a birthright to be here in the land of our forefathers and to live here. Thank God we have the capability to deter and to prevent such a statement from becoming a reality."

And we shouldn't be surprised that we keep giving up land for nothing in return. We all think that because we flew over here we have the right to this land but until we reach the spiritual state of 'Israel', we will have to keep putting up with all these insults, and know that beyond Israel itself - we are actually responsible for all the disasters happening around the world.

All this can be turned around even to the point where our enemies will put us on their shoulders and carry us up to the third temple - it's all up to us - the great kabbalists have written about this happening in our time.

UN Designates Day For Holocaust

Today's news: The 191-member UN General Assembly established January 27 as an annual commemoration day for the 6 million Jews and countless other victims murdered in the Nazi Holocaust during World War Two.

I'm happy everyone's happy with the new resolution but doesn't this international body have anything more important to do than this? 

The world is in a serious crisis: suicide is being used as a weapon nowadays, more and more people are depressed, divorce is totally common and even anticipated in this day and age, drug abuse is completely out of control, the only superpower left in the world is being humbled by a series of devastating natural disasters, people are living in fear since terror was introduced over the last few years, and lots of people are dying or are going to die from this weird bird flu that's suddenly appeared out of nowhere.  Have I left anything out? 

Kabbalist and Scientist Rav Laitman explains that the problems facing us today all stem from the same source - a complete lack of understanding about the true nature of man. Without a basic understanding of how to fix what is wrong with our nature, we will continue to be pulled toward the negative aspects of society and ultimately we have only ourselves to blame for whatever becomes of us. With all the things society has to deal with, he finds it is surprising that world organizations have not yet come up with a unified solution for guaranteeing a better tomorrow. This could easily be solved by bringing all the top minds together to define what values need to be instilled in younger generations to create a world we will all want to live in.

Isreali officials think the new resolution will curb anti-semitism, but the only thing that will make people stop hating Israel is when Israel begins actively sharing the science of kabbalah with the rest of the world.
